Presented by Live Well With Vision Loss during Mental Health Awareness Week and Blindness Awareness Month. Glow in the Dark brings together confidence, personal style, self-care and connection for people who are blind or have low vision.

Meet our workshop presenters
Gerard Gosens
Gerard Gosens is a Paralympian, adventurer and chocolatier whose remarkable life has been shaped by determination, resilience and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
Kerrie Carucci
Kerrie Carucci is an award-winning fashion stylist with a genuine passion for helping people discover their personal style and feel confident in who they are.
Olga Mahler
Olga Mahler is a massage and spa therapist, assistive technology and life skills trainer, blogger and disability advocate who brings warmth, humour and lived experience to everything she does.
Tammy-Jo Van Dijk
Tammy-Jo Van Dijk is the founder of TeejTalks and a speaker whose work explores resilience, rebuilding and navigating life’s challenges.
Harmonie Downes
Harmonie Downes is a respected blind community advocate and 2025 Blind Australian of the Year finalist, with a strong commitment to connection, inclusion and supporting others.
What the workshops will explore
Participants can look forward to an engaging mix of presentations, practical activities and community conversations exploring topics such as:
- Building confidence from the inside out
- Resilience and navigating change
- Personal style and self-expression
- Accessible skincare, beauty and self-care
- Independence and living well with vision loss
- Connection and shared experiences
The final workshop program and session times will be shared with registered participants closer to the event.
Places are limited to 30 blind and low-vision participants.
Participants are welcome to bring a support person, family member or friend. Please let us know when booking if someone will be accompanying you.
Every registered participant will receive a special Glow Bag filled with products, practical resources and helpful information provided by our generous sponsors and supporters.
Food and drinks will be available to purchase from The Wickham.
The Fashion and Community Celebration

If you are looking for a wonderful way to support the blind and low-vision community this Blindness Awareness Month, this is it.
Join us as blind and low-vision models and participants take to the runway with confidence, personality and plenty of individual style.
The afternoon will feature:
- A fashion celebration led by blind and low-vision models
- Daytime, smart-casual and evening looks
- Audio description
- Live music and entertainment
- Raffles and lucky-door prizes
- Plenty of laughter, connection and community spirit
Bring your friends and family and help us cheer on everyone who steps onto the runway.
Created for the community, with the community, this is a celebration of confidence, individuality and what can happen when we come together.
Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase from The Wickham.
When the celebration finishes at 6:00 pm, everyone is welcome to stay, purchase dinner and continue socialising and connecting.
Attendance is free, but please reserve your place so we can plan for the afternoon and keep you informed.
