I had the distinguished pleasure of meeting Jo on a surfing experience back in early 2025.
My opinion of her and the valuable work she is doing in this space with Live Well With Vision Loss has grown exponentially since.
She is more than an advocate. She has shown herself to be a warrior for social change and a tireless force of nature for inclusion and independence within the blind and low vision community.
Her referenced achievements are telling, and she deserves the plaudits she is known to shy away from.
It’s so motivating to connect with other blind and vision impaired people like Joanne.
